A journey through my pregnancy. My meltdowns (which I seem to have alot of), my triumphs, my worries and anxieties. And now the journey continues!! Life as a mommy of 2!!

Suicide sucks!!

It seems obvious and a little lighthearted to say it that way...but it really does suck. I suppose life sucked for the person who felt the need to end their pain, but they opened up a whole crap load of pain for all of those left behind. I know that there are lost souls that struggle to find peace and happiness in this world and never can and they find their only peace by ending their lives. That makes me very sad.
I had to say goodbye this week (I still am) even though she has already gone. She was so serene and happy (she was at peace with her decision to go). Please pray for the family and friends of a very sad woman who just didn't have it in her to keep fighting for peace, sanity and happiness.

Pics for you to look at HF

I left these large so you could get a good look at them. I think this is one of my favorite of Jacob. This was when he met Danny at the hospital (although I think he was just thrilled to see me again).

This is his "awwww, you love me look"

Looks a bit like a deer caught in the headlights.

I love Danny's smile in this one, unfortunately it was overexposed so I had to do some adjustments so you could see his smile.

This is Danny's typical look. He always looks like he trying to figure something out. I wonder what's going on in his head.

This pic is a little more recent of Jacob. He's doing something funny with his mouth though. Hmmm.

Danny update

So here is my "little man" at 5 months. He was totally intrigued by this flower until he tried to eat it and then he didn't think it was so cool.

So he just went to the doc for his 6 month check up (can you believe he is almost 6 months already?). Anyway...the stats: 19lbs 10oz and 27 1/2". That puts him in the 78% for both height and weight! Danny is generally a very happy curious baby. He smiles and squeals and coos. He loves his big brother Jacob dearly (who holds a unique talent for making Danny laugh). He sits up very well, however he will topple over after a few minutes. He's up on his hands and knees and falls forward. He also goes up on his hands and feet. (I am so not ready for him to crawl!) He scoots around backwards really well and can change his direction to get to wherever he wants to go. I swear I set him down on the floor in one place and if I leave the room I have to go searching for him. LOL. Oh well, so that's Pooterbug's update for now.

Way Back Wednesday (on Thursday)

So in my typical fashion, I am late again.

Here are a couple of my scholl spirit pics from way back in the day. Yes, it's true...I was a teenage cheerleader!!! But it was football, so it was OK. I am the one on the right. I used to be pretty cute!!

Oh and what's school spirit without participating in the annual school play. Here I am in "My Fair Lady". Wow, am I a dork!!!

I was also on the colorguard, but I have no pics of that.

Daniel's Christening

So today was Danny's christening and of course it couldn't be uneventful. My family arrived at my house and my mom and I were going to go to mass and then call everyone back at the house to come down to the church. (Trying to keep a 2 year old and a 5 month old content during a mass and then a baptism seemed a bit much).

So the church is about 2 blocks from my house so I decided we would walk. We were less than a block from my house when my mom lost her footing and fell. I felt so awful!! I wish I had been able to stop her fall. She hit really hard on her knee, shoulder and hip. You wouldn't believe the amount of people who stopped immediately for us, including a nurse, an off duty EMT and firefighter. They called an ambulance and took her to the hospital. A jogger was running by and saw me start to walk back to my house to get my brothers and she ran to the house for me. People are sweet. So one brother went to the hospital along with ny step father and I went on to church alone. My mom thankfully did not break anything and showed up at the christening just as the priest was saying the closing prayer.

There's a few pics below (before Danny puked all over the gown). This is the same gown that Jacob wore.
