So much to catch up on.

Well life got away from me and I have alot of catching up to do. Not only here, but on the blogs of my friends. I have been lurking, just not inspired to post. WE all know how it goes, so no use dwelling.

First, thank you everyone for your concern and well wishes for my step-dad. He is doing well and finally seems to be getting over the pnemonia (which triggered his heart attack). The last time he was in the hospital he refused to leave. He told them he's been fighting this crap since December and he wasn't leaving until someone made him better. Gotta love ornery old men!!

On the child front, wow. My boys are getting so big. Danny just went for his 2 year check up (he turned 2 in March) and he weighed in around 32lbs (I think) and was awhopping 37" tall!!! He has the longest legs (jealous). So my blonde bombshell is getting big and tall and is finally growing out of this incredibly pain in the ass satge and is becoming a wonderful little boy. He still runs from morning until night like he is on sugar overload, but at least now you can reel him in a bit with words instead of just constant beatings. (No, I do not beat my kids. I just mean that instead of constantly chasing him down, restraining, redirecting, time out-ing him we can talk to him. Let me tell you that is a relief).

Now Jacob is doing very well himself. Speech seems to be helping him and he is improving in class. He does seem to struggle when his routine is disrupted so we will do less of that for now. He had his 4 year check up (he's turning 4 next Sunday) and is 42" and 48lbs. I don't think he gained any weight this year. He is the sweetest most lovable child. Tonight he was washing his hands in teh sink and then he picked up a sponge and started to wash teh 2 plates that were in the sink. How sweet is that? The biggest problem I am running into with him is his new found defiance. When he gets upset or angry he crosses his arms and informs me that he is mad adn refuses to do what I ask. That time out step is getting a worn in spot. I couldn't help but giggle the other day when he got mad at me, he crossed his arms and said "Mommy. I'm getting frustrated". Too much.

On the work front.....I don't hate the new place. Yes parking can be a bitch, but you can expect that when you have 13000 people coming into work and only 2500 garaged spots. There are other parking lots, but I can't afford them so for now I just search. It's not too bad because it is spring time and I don't have to compete with snow banks and such. Sometimes I get there too early adn struggle with parking b/c the people who live downtown have not left for their jobs yet. It's like a big choreograph that no one really knows the steps to yet. Oh well. The food vendors are awesome, there's a farmer's market, frequent concerts and such during lunch. The boys adn E met me at the museum one day so that was cool. The pic at the top is from that day at the museum.
Oh an dDH cracked up my car (no one got hurt). His truck started spewing smoke and was all burny smelling when I drove it in to work and we are borrowing the in-laws cars. Life is good.
