When it rains, it pours. When it pours, you feel like you could drown.

So life has been tough lately. The financial stress is breaking me. My lovely husband has been working 6 days /week so he has not been able to help on the homefront. Our steam cleaner is still being repaired and it looks like a sty in this house. Strawberry jam, raspberries, jello, chocolate, peanut butter, urine and even a little poop have all made a debut on my carpet and I scrub, but it's not the same as whipping out my steam cleaner on a weekly basis. We are going on 6 weeks with no cleaner. Ugh.
On other news fronts...the scumbag tenant moved out after skipping his last months rent. We had a deposit so we thought we would be OK, but he stole our carpets and the carpet pads and our light fixtures. He broke a few windows and the place is filthy and has rotting food in it.
I had to pay my utilities and car payment with a credit card. My jeep is in desperate need of repair (probably $1000) and it is our only vehicle that can transport the kids so I have to put that on the charge. I'm feeling buried. I told my mom I was Christmas shopping in her attic for some stuff for the boys. lol
Well maybe it's not that bad. I have 2 gifts alreadya dn the kids are young enough they won't care. Plus the relatives all give them something. They will be fine.
The kids have a good life. They have a good home. I just wanted them to have more. Not more materialistically. Just more. I wanted them to have parents who weren't working all of the time. I wanted them to have parents who didn't wonder how the bnills were going to get paid. I didn't want to have to send my husband to the store for groceries and tell him to be sure to only spend $20.00.
The stupidest part is we make a good income. We should be dong fine, but we are not. Everytime I write out our budget we come up short. And we don't take vacations, huh Brandy. And we don't buy new cars. And we don't go out to dinner. And we don't go to the movies. And we don't wear designer anything. I just broke down and spent $40.00 on 2 pairs of jeans because I had torn my last pair. I had nothing left to wear.
I guess the important thing is my boys are happy and their needs will always be met.
I'm just tired.

People SUCK! I am so sorry this has happened to you. We wonder why the world is full of disgust .. its because of people like that. Please know I am thinking of you and that your boys have the greatest gift of all, their wonderful parents. Love you!

I'm really sorry, too. I can't believe that on top of all your other worries, the tenant damaged the place!I'm hoping the sun will shine for you soon. You are in my heart.

Barb - wanted you to know that I did in fact read this a long time ago and I feel for you. I don't know why I didn't comment. I guess I just didn't know the right words to say.
